Dear LILA Athletes and Families,
We would like to congratulate the HS Girls’ Basketball team for making it into the first round of the CIF Play-offs! This is the first time since the pandemic that LILA has entered an HS Girls’ team. They finished 3rd in the International league, well done players and coaching staff! We are very proud of the fact that this year we have been able to field a girls’ team in each of our major programs at both the Middle and High School levels (Volleyball; Basketball and Soccer), way to go girls!
Congratulations also go out to our HS Boys’ Basketball team that finished in 4th place, narrowly missing the playoffs. To the HS Boys’ and Girls’ Soccer Winter teams, a fantastic job laying the foundation for our entry into the Liberty league next year with solid performances with a healthy win-loss record. Our Rugby 7’s program also expanded on the previous years’ efforts with our largest squad to date! The boys took it up to their much larger opponents (bigger schools) and recorded some wins during the regular season. This Friday evening marks the end of their campaign, good luck team!
To all of our seniors in our winter programs, we hope that you leave with fond memories of your time with your teammates and coaches. We also wish all of our middle school athletes the best of luck as they embark on their play-off journey towards the end of this month.
Go Lions!
